So, day one… a favorite song. I’m at a loss. I love so many songs. I really don’t know… I guess I’d have to go with “His Glory Appears” from the album Faith+Hope+Love by Hillsong
I love this CD! I can’t chose a favorite Hillsong’s song though… I only chose “His Glory Appears” because I’ve listened to it the most recently. I love the piano in it… I wish I could get the piano music for it!
Now onto Day two: A favorite movie. This one is tough too. I love so many. Little Dorrit, North and South, Leap Year, The Prestige… My favorite before was The Wizard of Oz, but I’ve changed my mind. Now it’s Letters to Juliet. SPOILER ALERT
This was the first movie Superman took me to see. I loved it! I love the scene where Sophie and Claire are trying to decide where Lorenzo is most likely at, Charlie is whining and Claire just shuts him up. Love it. I also like the scene where Claire makes Charlie apologize to Sophie for being mean in the grave yard.
Claire is the absolute best! So is Lorenzo. They loved each other so much, but it didn’t keep them from living their lives and marrying other people and it didn’t keep them from loving their spouses. I think it’s so sweet…
After that movie I couldn’t stand to hear the saying “win-win” anymore. Sophie’s fiancé used it to his advantage way too much. And he didn’t care about her writing, just about his restaurant. I kind of wonder why she stayed with him for as long as she did. Charlie is so much better, although he is a little stuffy at first. I like him anyway. Superman joked that I’m a bit like Charlie. Skeptical, slightly unromantically minded, but secretly - deep down - wants to believe in true love triumphing and happily ever after. Of course, I’m too practical to believe in happily ever after with out a lot of work put into it. And I would never climb up a vine to a balcony. I was secretly hoping he’d fall (ok, maybe not so secretly, because I whispered my hope to Superman)… So basically I love the whole movie.
“Take him! Take him!”
Dear Claire, "What" and "If" are two words as non-threatening as words can be. But put them together side-by-side and they have the power to haunt you for the rest of your life: What if? What if? What if? I don't know how your story ended but if what you felt then was true love, then it's never too late. If it was true then, why wouldn't it be true now? You need only the courage to follow your heart. I don't know what a love like Juliet's feels like - love to leave loved ones for, love to cross oceans for but I'd like to believe if I ever were to feel it, that I will have the courage to seize it. And, Claire, if you didn't, I hope one day that you will. All my love, Juliet
Yay!!! Glad you're joining in.. looking forward to your posts :)
