Surprise!

Yesterday was Riah's 18th birthday and I surprised her by coming to her house for the day! She was ecstatic! Well...I was too. It was hard to keep my coming a secret. I FINALLY met Superman (her boyfriend) in person. It was about time. It's been almost 7 months since they started courting.
When I first made my appearance yesterday in Ri's garage, she didn't quite know it was me for a minute and then she ran over and hugged while saying "I can't believe you are here!" over and over again. I was thrilled to have pulled off the surprise. The day flew by though, which was a bummer, but it was worth it.
Today we are officially legal friends. We met 18 years ago today if you didn't get that. The funny thing is that we have been talking about this day for a while and then we forgot until a couple of hours ago. We laughed.
It has been a great week so far, I hope it stays great! :)
Happy birthday, Ri!
Love,

One of my favorites...

Psalm 97:1-6
1 The LORD reigns, let the earth be glad; let the distant shores rejoice.
2 Clouds and thick darkness surround him; righteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.
3 Fire goes before him and consumes his foes on every side.
4 His lightning lights up the world; the earth sees and trembles.
5 The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 The heavens proclaim his righteousness, and all the peoples see his glory.

(New International Version... I usually like New King James Version better, but for this scripture I like the way it flows with the other...)

CD recommendation: Battle Cry: Worship From the Frontlines - Michael Gungor. very anointed

Happy Fathers Day! and more.

Happy Fathers Day!

I saw the movie "When in Rome" for the first time a couple of days ago. It was GREAT! Very funny. I ended up buying since I like it so much.

We have been horse sitting morning and night for a week and starting tomorrow we only have to do night chores! I am very excited about that because I will be able to sleep past 7! You know how much I value my sleep... love it even. lol

Riah graduated High School last weekend!!! She earned it and deserved it completely! Go Riah!

Bee went to the mountains yesterday just for the day. She had a great time! Only got four pictures out of the whole trip... I was bummed about that.

I am reading a book called "A Promise For Spring" by Kim Vogel Sawyer. It's good so far!

Gonna go read now!

I'm trying...

I am trying to write a good post. Lately it seems as though the right words escape me. Trying to get my thoughts onto paper - or in this case - the computer, has been hard. So, here goes...

Life has been interesting lately.
Our air conditioner decided to act up yesterday, so today the house got up to 80-82 degrees. It was hot, but Riah's house got to almost 90! It seems that their air conditioner went out over the weekend too.
Fortunately, we just got ours fixed...for now... and Riah's family is getting theirs fixed very soon!

Camp was awesome except one of my favorite horses, Rascal, wasn't there. He went back up to Pennsylvania to live there again. We are hoping he will come back someday. :)
Speaking of horses... they are wonderful. When you are having a hard time, they know just how to make you feel better. Sassy, one of my other favorites, nudges me and seems to talk with her eyes - almost speaking encouragement. Tigger, a small pony that I love very much, has a spunky little I-can-take-on-the-world kind of attitude that you just can't but to smile at! He is awesome, but not a lot of people like him... :(
Who needs therapy when there are horses?!?!
That's as long as this post is getting because I hafta go do barn chores. Feeding horses, putting hay in the fields...ect.

Camp Song.

"Mm-ah went the little green frog one day - mm-ah went the little green frog -
Mm-ah went the little green frog one day and his eyes went mm-ah too!
Honk honk went the big mack truck one day -
split-splat went the little green frog -
his eyes don't go mm-ah anymore 'cause he got licked up by a dog! ruff ruff!
horrid song, but for some reason it makes camp very fun! lol

Camp!

Half day camp is not as good as full day camp, but it's still great! For the last three days I've stayed at the barn from about 8am to after 8pm!!! I've had a great time!
Today Jill and I watched Finding Nemo! We had so much fun. Tomorrow we are going to try to watch Leap Year!
I'm sad though, because Jill with be going on a three week trip starting on Saturday morning. But when she gets back, the regular camp with start.
Camp is awesome!
OH YEAH!
Today in one of the games we did, it included silly string, shaving cream, and balloons. The kids seem to like to torture the camp counselors (that would be me), by covering me with shaving cream. I was white all over. It was horrid but fun in some odd way! lol.
I am now watching Toy Story 2 and talking to Riah on IM!

I am about to take that mid-term exam. Yay.
I am going to make a circle skirt soon. It will be teal and white.
My puppy is sleeping better and getting more energetic. In turn I am getting my sleep back!
Summer camp is starting on Monday. Next week is the half-day-camp. And then there is a 3 week break before camp really starts!
I am reading "The Silent Governess" by Julie Klassen. It's good so far.
I am getting really good at the drums on Guitar Hero! lol.
I drove for the first time by myself today!!!! So exciting!
I will post lyrics another time. :)
RIAH CAME YESTERDAY!!!!!!!
We talked and talked and talked. And ordered pizza - I made her do it this time. lol. We had a wonderful time - but now I am going to instant message her - so I'll blog more another time! G'night!
