Sorry - I wasn't at home much yesterday! I didn't get a chance to post! Went to Lyssa's.. had a milk run. Overall, just too busy :) I apologize.

Explanation:

1. I tried to download and app on the iTouch Lys let me have/"borrow" and it is now acting like it's perpetually loading... I don't know how to fix that. Any suggestions people?
2. I'm super nervous, the coming up assignment is the first where I have to submit a photo. I'm freaked it will be a horrid photo!
3. I got a polarizer and UV filter for Christmas, but stupid Ritz camera gave my Grandma (who got them for me) the cheep polarizer rather than tell her they didn't have the more expensive one I wanted (I want a good quality filter, no use in one that will mess up shots). They just wanted to make a sell. So Momma and I went today and talked to a woman there about it and she had one at another store put on hold. She'll (the lady) pick it up Friday at the other location and we'll pick it up Tuesday. They should have just admitted they didn't have it!
4. I have a (very incomplete) wish list on iTunes of the music I want to get at some point, that totals $25.50. I am so tempted to buy it, but that probably isn't a good idea... And like I said, it's way incomplete!

44. Best quality? Mine? I don't have a "best" one. I just have normal qualities, both bad and good that hopefully balance each other now.

Well...

This post was supposed to be about canning and gardening and what not, but I'm on Momma's computer and I haven't uploaded the pictures from our canning adventure (if adventure is the appropriate word here?) yet, so this will just have to be a random post. Randomness Friday rather than Wednesday.

1. I hate wedding invitations.
2. I would so elope if Superman, Lys and my parents would let me.
3. I'm thinking about starting online college courses.
4. I've been working with so much teal fabric I sware I'm seeing teal.
5. I miss Lyssa!

Now for the explanations.

1. I have been getting emails and magazines about wedding invites to chose from... and they are not exactly the prettiest things ever. I've only seen a few I like and several of them weren't in my colors. I may make my own... Weddings have never been my cup of tea.
2. Superman wont let me elope, but I sware I'd make him if Lys and Mom weren't here to help me. Well.. Lys is bossing more than anything ;) Love ya Lys...
3. I am thinking about doing either Ambassador Christian or Photography Institute or maybe I'll even see what options they have for history... I don't know. I just love school and I would like to study something, plus it's always good to have something to fall back on. Who knows what could happen?
4. I am almost done with Lyssa's skirt. It just needs a zipper and to be hemmed. That teal is beautiful and will be comfortable to wear, but it stretches soooooo much that its hard to work with until you have it fully stitched to the eyelet over skirt. Oh well, it will be very pretty - or at least I hope so. I'm not exactly confident in my sewing skills.
5. Lys has been keeping busy. Camp, work, baby sitting (no, seriously I think she sat on one of them ;), and the internship. Yep, so busy she barely has time to blink, let alone talk to me. **Sob** I miss you my Lyssa!

That's it.. I'm hoping Mom is done sewing sunflowers now. I would like to go read or work on my special project or watch Monarch of the Glen, but she's keeping me here for company... Love ya Momma!

Now on to the explanation!

1. T. Lynn's birthday is tomorrow! I can't believe our baby is going to be ten! It would be eaiser if she were, oh I don't know... big enough to be ten, but no she is still teeny tiny! She only weights 61 lbs! NO WE DON'T STARVE HER! HOW DARE YOU ASK US THAT?! She is just naturally small. I'm not going to talk to ya'll about her anymore, ya'll don't deserve it!

2. So lately Mom, my fiance, my sisters and Lys have all been whispering and I'm not allowed to know what about! I don't think that is very fair, do you? I didn't think so... Now Christmas and my birthday have gotten even more secretive than ever. I don't handle surprises well, ever! Ask Lys! She surprised me by coming over for my 18th birthday. I looked in the car to "get something out" (yeah right Mom) and there she is. My mind didn't even comprehend it! I just stood there looking at her. THEN I realized who it was and jumped up and down happily! So I think they should tell me right now what they have been whispering about, don't you? It would be better for my state of mind.

3. My uncle is getting married in May! Yay! I love his fiancee, she is so sweet. See, I told you it wasn't my wedding and you didn't believe me.

4. Saturday was fun... Superman brought over his dog for the girls to play with and we played Super Mario Wii (yes, we finally got passed the boss on level 8). I made homemade chicken noodle soup, quick rolls and chocolate chip cookies. At one point I turned on Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble music and my fiance and I danced around the kitchen and sunroom. Of course our ballroom dancing lacks a little bit, but we didn't care :)

 5. I'm in love with a camera now... I know, I know.. I'm in love with a lot of cameras, but this one I am going to get eventually! The Canon Rebel T3i! I probably wont be able to get it until next summer because it's so expensive, but I will get it!

Now to explain:

1. Job Hunting: I'm on the hunt for another job. My hours have been cut down to between 9 and 15 hours a week. Blah is right. So I'm on the lookout for a job in photography somewhere. Be it taking the photos or working with them - there's gotta be something!
2. Relaxing: I don't go to work today so I'm taking some time to relax since I'm always on the go.
3. Reading: I've been reading "Whispers on the Wind" by Maureen Lang for over a month now. I usually read three or more books in a week... I've gotta catch up on my reading very badly!
4. Planning: I have a ton to think about and plan. Looking into schools and jobs takes so much time. On top of that trying to plan a trip... agh.
For school I'm looking at different photography courses and possibly another option which I won't mention just yet... :)

Ri Came!

Riah, her mom, and T. Lynn came to my house yesterday morning on their way to the milk farm. It was awesome. We talked and talked. She helped me overcome writers block just like she said she would, and we talked more. Oh and we both had hot chocolate with hazelnut creamer in it. You should try it - it's the absolute best way to drink hot chocolate!
Today I am taking my car back to the Goodyear - they rotated my tires when we told them not to. it would have been fine only there is a problem in the front that is causing my two front tires to wear down. So they put my two good tires in the front and my bad ones in the back. SO that means my now front tires are going to get worn down if they don't swap them back. OYVEY! People need to listen!
I am off to finish getting ready to go.

Randomness Wednesday (story about me)!

When I was four years old I had something happen to me. It is the one thing I really remember from being that age. Here goes:
My mom, sister, and I had stopped off at the local church for mom to do something (I don't remember what it was). While she was inside with our neighbor and someone else, Bee and I decided to go play outside. The game was...are you ready?... "Hide From Cars."
We made the game up.
I'm sure you knew that.
The object of the game was to get as close to the church sign as we could, so no cars (aka people in the cars) could see us!
Simple right?!
We had been playing for a little while, when Bee decided to go inside for a minute or two. I stayed behind the sign. The next thing I knew was that I had hit my head on the stone part of the sign and (brace yourself) blood ran down my face. I think I remember screaming. Bee came back out, stopped, and ran back in. My mom came charging out of the church and brought me inside. I was freaking out. My bloody hand-prints were all over her white t-shirt, and the dish towel that was being held against my gushing head was already soaked. Our neighbor drove us to the nearest urgent care, and she then called my dad. He was working so she had to leave a message. She told him, "You don't have to come. She's bleeding pretty good, but we're at the urgent care, and everything is under control."
He came. YAY!
After what seemed like forever, the doctor brought us back for him to have a look. (Brace yourself again) He said that my head was busted open all the way down to my hard-head-skull. (Sorry...gotta put details...)
My mom and sister were instructed to stay outside (mom was a basket-case). My dad and our neighbor held me down on the table as the doctor prepared to stitch me up.
Now here is the interesting part. Ready?
The doctor started to tell me what he was going to do, step by step...as in... needles...poking...pain... (excuse me, I need to take a break).
(I'm back).
My dad asked him not to tell me these things, to just do it. Logical...seeing as how I was only four years old, and freaking out as it was.
He stopped...for a minute, and then continued to tell me what he was doing. The rude man! Mean! Horrible! Scary!
Sorry.
My dad really got onto him this time! Go daddy! You tell him! Booyah!
Sorry.
So after a long and drawn out process, it was finally over and my daddy took me home to give me a bath and to wash my now-bloody-hair.
The wound was above my right eyebrow, but now, after so many years, the scar is very near my hairline. Cool huh?!

I remember a couple of days after the ordeal, I asked my parents if we could go back to the spot that I hit my head at.
"Why do you want to do that?" They had asked.
"Because I want to find my head." I said as if it were obvious.
"Um...what?"
"I want to find my head! If it was busted open then I want to find the part that went in the hole!"
I think they laughed a little...maybe chuckled. "Honey, you won't find it."
"Why not? Did someone throw it away?" I asked with a scowl.
"No, there was not a piece that fell out."
"Oh, I thought it would be like an apple core." (Don't ask me why I said that.)

• My puppy: she got spayed on Monday and she hasta wear those cone things on her head. She looks so funny with it on!
• Riah: She came to my house yesterday! We had a great time talking the whole time. lol. I missed her!
• Driving: I gotta go out, but I hafta motivate myself to drive first.
• Horses: Camp is over and I haven't seen he horses since Friday! Tigger misses me like I miss him... trust me, I know these things.
• Books: I have been reading a lot again since I have more time. I just started a new book last night!
• Food: I'm hungry, need I say more?
• College: I have a ton of lessons to do this week and posts to do on them. I am also considering doing an online History major next year. That depends on my finances by then, though.

Getting up really early is going to take some getting used to. The weeks seems to be dragging on, but at the same time it has gone sorta fast...
I don't know about any of you, but I am looking forward to Saturday! Sleeping late. Maybe until noon... That's what is so good to think about every morning when I get up with the chickens. lol. This morning I wanted to cry when my alarm went off. It was so sad. I was thinking: "Didn't I just go to sleep?!"
I got over it.
Now I am home.
Lying on my bed.
About to go watch our normal TV shows. Including American Idol.
Then I will pack my lunch for tomorrow, lay out my clothes, and go. to. sleep.
Sorry if I bored you with my sleep talk. I might do that a lot until I get used to getting up at 6:45 everyday. If I ever get used to it...

Randomness Wednesday!

I have a lot on my mind. Random stuff and regular stuff.

Stuff like: Its windy and a bit too cold for my liking today.
I don't like the smell of cleaner. It makes me sneeze if it's too strong.
My hands are finally getting smooth again after the normal winter dry spell they go through.
I should put some socks on...
Friday is going to be great! I hope... I have another meeting with the same photography place I had met with last time. And then I am meeting Bee, my "adopted" grandma, and her daughter again at Starbucks. I love all three of them!
I really like coffee. It is special when I get to drink it because I don't usually get it that often. But now I do...
Our snow was almost totally gone the day after we got it. All five inches melted so fast. We only have a couple of small patches of it by the front of our house now.
Josh McBride. He is character in a book I'm reading. I am wanting to read right now... so I should make this quick...
Juliana Brady. Another character in the same book. She is Josh's soon-to-be-fiance!

Hey, its Ri here.  Lys asked me to post today, said she couldnt think of anything to blog about.

Things on my mind:

3. Beenie's Birthday

Guess I have some explaining to do now.

1 & 2. I just tried to take some pictures.  It didn't go over well, which explains the irritation.  My camera is a little worse for wear.  I barely got any pictures taken.  Half of them blurred or were over/under exposed.  Then the camera died.  Its been running through batteries like water.  So I'm pretty much frustrated over my lack of talent in the photography area, plus the camera.
3. Beenie turned 11 today.  Yay!  We are going to be playing games and watching movies tonight.  Whichever games and movies she choses.  Bree is making a cake, decorated like a giant smiley face, per Beenie's request and we are having Lasagna for supper.  Yum!
4. I am going down to visit with Lys and Bee tomorrow.  We are both (Lys and I) very excited since we haven't seen each other since shortly after the new year.  We don't know exactly what we're going to do, but we're going to do something!

Sorry... no pictures from yesterday. I can't seem to find the little camera's upload cable. I will continue to look for it. When I find it, I will try to get those pictures posted on here a.s.a.p.!
For now, I will do a quick Randomness Wednesday! This week will be different that usual. Instead of telling you only what is on my mind, I will tell you other stuff too! Just 'cause you're special. :)
Tomorrow I am meeting with the owner of a photography studio for an interview. I am excited and slightly nervous.
Today was a slow, lazy day. My mom and I watched "Fried Green Tomatoes" and then "Tuck Everlasting" a little while after! We never, and I mean never, watch TV during the day. It was fun. Both movies are great!
I then looked up the music notes for the theme song for "Tuck Everlasting." I then played it 50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,987,000,450,023... over. If you can figure out what exact number I just put, let me know. I'd appreciate it. lol.
Right now, Bee and I are in my room seeing as how our parents have a guest and we were told to go upstairs. SO! We all know how fun that is...
I am watching/listening to ihopu student awakening. It is a college in Kansas City...the student awakening is a conference they are having. It's awesome!
I am thinking about:

• American Idol

Explanation:

• Tomorrow: The interview I told you about...I'm trying not to be nervous.
• God: He's so wonderful. How can I not think about Him?!
• A combination of stuff I don't how I could put it into words: Do I really need to explain that? I don't think so.
• American Idol: It just went off about 42 minutes ago. It's still in the audition stage so we get to see a bunch funny people try to get into Hollywood. It's great fun to watch! Simon makes it even funnier.

I don't have much on my mind. I have been reading "A Hope Beyond" book two in the "Ribbons of Steel" series by Tracie Peterson and Judith Pella. I just put it down a minute ago to do this post before I have to go to sleep. :-)

• The book: I'm reading it...need I say more?
• Carolina: She is the main character, mostly, for this story. She just made a very HUGE decision...
• James: He is just awesome! If he was a real person...I would want to meet him.
• Victoria: A cute little girl! She is about to receive some bad(ish) news... she is only five years old.
• Virgina: Oh goodness! This woman is impossible! I won't say anymore about her!
• What's goin' to happen next?!: I can't wait to pick up the book again and find about what Carolina is going to do! What is James planning next? How will Victoria take the news? Will Virgina ever change? Will what they had hoped for ever happen??? I WANNA KNOW!!! haha.
• My sister: Her 21st birthday is on Friday! YAY!

Okay! It's been a while since I have actually done the Randomness Wednesday... it's been so busy around here!

I've hardly been able to take any pictures! But I do have some new ones. I'll share them at the end of this post.

So... right now I don't really have much on my mind. I have been goin', goin', goin' all day long, so I guess I am winding down for the night.

• The book I am reading: I have been trying so hard to find a moment to actually read. For three days I've not left chapter five. That is not like me to not finish a chapter.
• Photography: I have been doin' a lot of reading about how to work my new camera in the "M" (manual) setting. I have a lot to learn!
• Job: I am still lookin' for a job. Gettin' frustrating.
• Music: I am listening to the music in the playlist on my blog. Such great songs! (Hope you have listened to them!)
• God: He is so wonderful! I love Him so much. I love when He speaks to me! He is always on my mind and heart. :) :) :)

Monday morning was COLD! The picture below shows what the car windows looked like at 8:20-ish in the morning.

...and Goose. (the white dog to the left). He had to be apart of all of the lessons! His goal in life is to learn how to ride a horse without thumbs, and be a human... We try not to discourage him. We want him to dream big!

Six of eleven campers, Mrs. Jill, and me! It was after lunch so everyone was fueled up and ready to ride! It was a great day!My shadow (and RC's) says hello! It looks odd, but cool at the same time!
Billy Goat and Two Toes (he is the rooster...he only has 2 toes on one foot...) warming themselves in the sun! They look like best friends!

(Note: Billy Goat is NOT a girl... which means he's not pregnant. He has a weird stomach thing that he was born with... plus he's a little fat!)

Camp was fun! I helped Monday and Tuesday! Today I went to see my Grandma (or "Grandmommy" as she likes to be called). We had our Christmas with her! It was one of the best visits we've had with her! Now I am ready to go to sleep. These past three days have been extremely busy.

1. I am currently texting Lys, so she is foremost on my mind right now.  Plus this is her blog I'm blogging on, so it just makes sense that I'd be thinking about her.
2. Our house is all Christmas"y" right now, so every where I look there is a reminder that Christmas is nine days away.
3. I have a history quiz to take tomorrow.  Why am I thinking about this?  Because I happened to look over and my history book is sitting on the table next to me, thats why.  Otherwise, it wouldn't even cross my mind.

I personally love this purple ball.  The bright thing in the corner is

popcorn strung on the tree.  The flash caught it wrong, but Beenie

did a good job for being only ten and not used to using cameras.
