Wedding photos!

Y'all deserve this: wedding pitcures! It's been long in coming, but here are a few:

Bridal portrait (Alyssa M. Photography)

Groom's portrait (Mariah M. Photography)

A decoration that was on the cake at our pounding - we used it at the wedding. The wedding photographer used it as a place to photograph the rings :) (Photography by our wedding photographers)

My dress (wedding photographers)

Bridal portrait (Alyssa M. Photography)

Bouquet and dress (wedding photographers)

Sand Ceremony - instead of having Unity Candles we had Unity Sand. Less dangerous in my opinion :) (wedding photographers)

After the wedding portraits (wedding photographers)

Another one (wedding photographers)

Another (wedding photographers).

Sorry it took so long. But there some are!

Wedding!

Hey Y'all!
I wanted to share with you that our dear Riah got married this past Saturday. She and Superman were really excited :)
The whole thing was beautiful (even with the few things that got messed up).
I was so happy to be apart of the planning and standing up with her as her Maid of Honor. I couldn't ask for a better best friend :)

I'm sure there will be pictures to post soon - but for now I'm off to work :)
Congrats to Riah and Superman - love y'all!!

Afternoons {daybook #10}

Outside my window: Blue skies, puffy little clouds, sun-shiny.

I'm thinking about: How I should really be cutting out a pattern right now.

From the kitchen: Cake, vanilla with chocolate frosting as a matter of fact.

I am reading: Maid of Fairbourne Hall by Julie Klassen.

I am listening to: Beenie talk, sounds from outside and Fireflies by Owl City.

I am hoping: we get everything done.

I am planning: A wedding

I am wearing: a calf length, light weight blue "jean" skirt, black tank, plaid button-up shirt (unbuttoned with the sleeve rolled up - because that how we in the south dress), long leather necklace with three small keys, hoops, red studs, rubber bracelet, hair scruncy (like a bracelet) and engagement ring.

Around the house: wedding stuff!! and needs to be tidied.

My wish of the week: I get my mother-in-law-to-be's dress finished.

Much love and summer happiness,

I love my BFF!

Dear Everyone,
My best friend is getting married in 2 two weeks from Saturday!!
Feels like just yesterday we were talking about "never" getting married and traveling the world as famous photographers :) 6 years flew by fast since the first time we had that conversation! Heck, 20 years flew by fast!
I can't wait to be apart of Riah's big day! :)
Love ya Ri!

Bridal Shower Pics (part 1)

I apologize for falling off the blogging planet. I'd love to say once things settle I'll blog more, but no such promises will you hear from me. I'm getting married in 22 days and after that I'll be Mrs. M (yes my initials will be MMM - thank you very much). So, no promises, sorry!
Now for photos of the awesome Bridal Shower my dear bestest friend and maid-of-honor Lyssa threw me. (side note, if you want an amazing maid-of-honor, consider Lys... Except then you'll be treading on my best friend territory and I'll have to hurt ya).

The punch table (non-alcholic) was set up in our Sunroom. See all those pretty sunflower glasses?
In case ya didn't watch my video, those were hand-painted by my wonderful sister Bre. I don't know if you can see it, but under the bottom of the handle on that yellow pitcher is the word "M.A. Lemonade" with a little leaf beside it. I love that pitcher.

close up :)

Cookie dough dip and chocolate graham crackers are so good!

Veggie tray (aren't those plates cool?).

Momma made this sunflower cake. In the center are chocolate covered sunflower seeds! Isn't that a beautiful cake? I loved it!!

Homemade Cream cheese mints shaped like sunflowers. These mints are always a favorite and they are so easy to make.

Pigs n' a blanket and mini quiches. I love both and so did everyone else it seemed :)

Giant glasses filled with M&M's as a play on my soon-to-be initials :)

Well thats all for right now. More pictures to come (and the last video should be uploaded soon, I forgot about it because it wasn't on my computer, it was on Momma's).

My first video

Or three :) So I decided to do a video about the wedding stuff rather than take a billon pictures of everything. I still have pictures I'll show ya, but I thought this might be a more entertaining way of showing you. My first video was horrible because I didn't have a clue what everything was... You'll see :)Anyway, I'll be posting one a day... So have fun :)
Epic fail, right? Well more videos comin' soon :)

Weddings and Bridal Showers

So, I thought I might show y'all some more wedding details :) Things are really settling into place and ideas coming together, which is a good thing considering the wedding is only two and a half months away. I'm so excited. Which is also probably a good thing :)

This is my hair comb and the pins and other decorative jewels for my hair. Aren't they pretty?

This is the lovely Lyssa's hair comb.

And this is T. Lynn's tiarra! Surprisingly these were all bought in different places. Except, Lyssa's comb and the decorative pins and such for my hair.

This is the inspiration for my hair style. I love it :)

This is our wedding cake topper :) I love love love willow tree and Superman likes them too. I also am not a big wedding cake topper fan, so when we found this I was so thrilled. Isn't it just awesome?!

This is the inspiration for the flowers in the wedding. I think we're actually gonna have all of those flowers in the wedding some where and we'll even have those red berries. Its very tuscan.

We're gonna have something like this on the center of each table, except the flower stems probably wont be that long (that's just too long) and it wont be in bottles. We found a bunch of bud vases and will be using those. Oh and we wont be using sunflowers, we'll be using smaller yellow flowers.

And these are my Bridal Shower Invitations! Aren't they beautiful? Lys, Bre, Mom, Kay, T. Lynn and Beenie all had a hand in making them. The design was Mom and Lyssa's idea and everyone pitched in to help make them. Except me, they wouldn't let me help. I just fetched drinks, popcorn and various other snacks and stood watching.

They filled in all the blanks by hand and included a little sheet of paper with other necessary information. Oh and that is seeded paper, so it can be planted and the seeds should sprout into mini sunflowers :) Isn't that really cool?! They had to fold each paper, stamp all of that on the invite and then fill in everything. Aren't they the best?

"Once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes Everything." Isn't that a pretty quote? I think it's one of my favorite things on the invite. But then, I love quotes. I keep a quote book, so I guess it only makes sense :)

I'm hoping for paper lanterns at the bridal shower! I just love paper lanterns! I'm not sure what I like about them, I just do :)

*I found this photo via google search then added the words
We're using Rosemary on the Rememberance table (the table we're setting up in memory of Grandparent's who have passed on). Rosemary is the plant of rememberance and it's also very tuscan, it'll work nicely. We'll put that quote on something near the rosemary, so everyone will understand.

I guess that's it for now, I'll post some more soon. On the main computer I have other wedding pictures. I just need to sit down and blog about it one day :)
Much love,

I just realized...

... that I never told y'all that Superman and I set a wedding date. Y'all know we're getting married and are planning it, so I thought you might wanna know what day :) I'll also post more interesting stuff about it as I get the chance - and if I actually stop to think about it. Right now we're just scheduling things and a buying decorations and fitting dresses. Mostly getting the details down.

Anyway the date is... **duh duh duhhhhh**
Yep - of this year too :) Isn't that a cool photo? I didn't take it, but it fit so well ;) I think I'll have one similar done. I like the idea - whose ever idea it was!
