Happy Thanksgiving!!

Enough said!!

Long time - No post

I haven't got a ligit reason for not posting. Or maybe I do... I'm a stay at home mom with no internet and a 3 month old. So yeah I have an excuse.

Nothing too terribly much is new except learning how to be a Mom which is incredibly new and wonderful and scary. I never know what to expect with Alec except general cuteness!

I wish I had more to post but sadly I don't... And my little man is calling for me. So toodle-loo!

Oh Christmas Crafts (excerpt)

I've been keeping busy making Christmas gifts. I'm on a (very) limited budget, so most of my gifts will be handmade. Some of the things I'm making are:
Christmas ornaments - not for my tree, I don't have a tree. But as small gifts for other people.
Baked goods - An easy gift for men! Who doesn't like cookies, breads and other Christmas-y desserts??
Articals of clothing - sorry can't be specific here, never know who is reading!!

Chrismas sewing has been crazy, thankfully the baking hasn't started yet. That'd be pretty gross - two week old cookies?? Ugh

So... It's fall time again which means apple cider and pumpkin pie. It means that it's ok to drink warm drinks again (As much as I love an ice blended chai). It means knit tops and boots. It means blankets and books (not that I didn't already do the book part). It means dodging freezing rain and running helplessly into the library. It means open windows and colored leaves.

It means fall happiness!!

Amendment One

For NC passed tonight! Officially in NC one man+one woman = marriage!!!! We got it passed with 60% of th vote! I'm so thrilled!!!!!!

Haha not really, but that'd be great!

Actually, I'm headed to stay with my grandma for 10 days. I get back the 23rd, but the next day we're going to have a milk run and get Lys and the day after that I'm gonna have my braces put on and the day after that we're trying out wedding haristyles and having my Bridal Shoot and then Friday I get to see Superman! And Saturday is my Bridal Shower and then on that Sunday Lyssa is going home, so I can't promise any posts, but I'll try my bestest!

I was going to do an awesome post today. I was going to take pictures of my day, I was going to be productive, I was going to show you some of my pinterest pictures... I had so much to do. Blog design, sew, clean... Yeah none of that happened. Because...
I
got
a
stomach
bug.
And now its not fun. All I've had that I've kept down since yesterday afternoon has been tea, chicken broth and crackers. I'm dying to eat fries or garlic sticks or a roast beef sandwich. But even when I just eat chicken broth my stomach churns, so oh well.

I hate being sick...

Just a note

Just incase anyone is wondering, I do not know if I support Invisible Children or not, I don't know much about them, I don't know how they spend their money or what their political veiws are... I just know Kony should be stopped. So just so y'all know, I am only supporting stopping this man!

It's late...

... so I'm not going to blog long, but I thought I'd say - I got to stay with Lys from Tuesday until earlier this morning. So we had nearly two weeks together. Oh and I got a new-to-me, rebuilt, totally awesome tablet laptop! It's so cool :)

Sorry about not posting today... I couldn't get my camera to upload the photos and I'm too tired to fight with it, especially since I really had to do school and I took a benedryl to counteract an allergic reaction. Benedryl always makes me super sleepy! I'm just gonna upload it to mom's computer tomorrow. That'll be faster!

A bit of catch up

We've been strangers around here lately. Our lives are pretty busy. I'll try and give you a run down.
I started online photography schooling and am working toward my diploma and learning a whole lot. I got a PS CS5! I am super excited about that.
We had a big Thanksgiving dinner Saturday and will have a smaller, simpler one on Thanksgiving day.
Wedding planning is going. But at a nice slow pace. Lys and I got our dresses ordered and are waiting for them to come in. We have the officiator, but not the venue. Everything else is going alright.
I got a car Monday. A silver Mercury Sable. It's really nice. I haven't a license yet, I'm gonna get one in January. I have driven it twice and will take T. Lynn to her dentist appointment tomorrow.
I was sick with some sort of stomach bug for almost two weeks and am finally starting to feel alright again. I didn't eat much though for two weeks and now I feel like I can't get full. It's pretty annoying.
Let me see, what else, what else? (Ugh, I'm annoyed with my glasses - moving on.)
I am sadly behind on Christmas shopping/sewing. I need to desperately clean my room and I painted my nail deep purple ;) My iPod is in sad shape (the stripped ear phone plug in is getting worse) and I am dying to get started with the rest of my blog designing and some sewing. I miss Lyssa to bits!
I think that is everything. If I think of anything else, I'll try and let y'all know!

I'm back

Sorta. This isn't going to be very long. I have school, housework, letters to write, laundry to do and much more.
I miss Lyssa. Like worse than usual and I don't know why. I feel sorta depressed that she isn't here. It's so sad....
The Mad Hatter Tea Party went very well. Pictures coming soon.
I am loving the new Michael Buble Christmas cd. It's great.
I have pictures to edit, but first I have to find the notebook I wrote them all down in.
I need to read. I have a million or so books from the library and I'm sadly behind on reading them.
I need to sew, nuff said.

1. Clean my room.
2. Wash my bowl.
3. Eat.
4. Read my lesson for today and take notes.
5. Clean the main areas.
4. Do laundry.
5. READ.
6. Edit photos.
7. Sew.
8. Take photos.
9. Read the manual my tutor gave me - long story - and take notes.
10. Go to the library and return my books, then pay the late fee.

That's all I can think of!

Home again, home again!

I'm home. Pictures will be coming (sorta) soon. I am sad though, my camera battery died only two or three days into my "vacation" and I didn't pack the cord to my battery charger. I thought I did, but apparently I left it at home on our school desk. I was very upset at that.
We visited several places. The History Museum, the Natural Science Museum, the Childrens Museum, the Titanic Exhibition, the Bog Gardens... It was so much fun. I'll tell y'all about it later!

My Great Grandma...

Passed from this world to the next early this morning. We'll miss her so much, but she wasn't happy here any more.
We love you so much Grandma "Cake" and we'll miss you terribly!
