My first video

I still have pictures I'll show ya, but I thought this might be a more entertaining way of showing you. My first video was horrible because I didn't have a clue what everything was... You'll see :)Anyway, I'll be posting one a day... So have fun :)
Epic fail, right? Well more videos comin' soon :)

Weddings and Bridal Showers

So, I thought I might show y'all some more wedding details :) Things are really settling into place and ideas coming together, which is a good thing considering the wedding is only two and a half months away. I'm so excited. Which is also probably a good thing :)

This is my hair comb and the pins and other decorative jewels for my hair. Aren't they pretty?

This is the lovely Lyssa's hair comb.

And this is T. Lynn's tiarra! Surprisingly these were all bought in different places. Except, Lyssa's comb and the decorative pins and such for my hair.

This is the inspiration for my hair style. I love it :)

This is our wedding cake topper :) I love love love willow tree and Superman likes them too. I also am not a big wedding cake topper fan, so when we found this I was so thrilled. Isn't it just awesome?!

This is the inspiration for the flowers in the wedding. I think we're actually gonna have all of those flowers in the wedding some where and we'll even have those red berries. Its very tuscan.

We're gonna have something like this on the center of each table, except the flower stems probably wont be that long (that's just too long) and it wont be in bottles. We found a bunch of bud vases and will be using those. Oh and we wont be using sunflowers, we'll be using smaller yellow flowers.

And these are my Bridal Shower Invitations! Aren't they beautiful? Lys, Bre, Mom, Kay, T. Lynn and Beenie all had a hand in making them. The design was Mom and Lyssa's idea and everyone pitched in to help make them. Except me, they wouldn't let me help. I just fetched drinks, popcorn and various other snacks and stood watching.

They filled in all the blanks by hand and included a little sheet of paper with other necessary information. Oh and that is seeded paper, so it can be planted and the seeds should sprout into mini sunflowers :) Isn't that really cool?! They had to fold each paper, stamp all of that on the invite and then fill in everything. Aren't they the best?

"Once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes Everything." Isn't that a pretty quote? I think it's one of my favorite things on the invite. But then, I love quotes. I keep a quote book, so I guess it only makes sense :)

I'm hoping for paper lanterns at the bridal shower! I just love paper lanterns! I'm not sure what I like about them, I just do :)

*I found this photo via google search then added the words
We're using Rosemary on the Rememberance table (the table we're setting up in memory of Grandparent's who have passed on). Rosemary is the plant of rememberance and it's also very tuscan, it'll work nicely. We'll put that quote on something near the rosemary, so everyone will understand.

I guess that's it for now, I'll post some more soon. On the main computer I have other wedding pictures. I just need to sit down and blog about it one day :)
Much love,

Le Happy - Pinspirational Tuesdays {1}

I'm linking up with the lovely Jessica @ Diary of a Beautiful Soul and doing Jocee's (@ Cupcake Dictionary) Le Happy :)

le happy
this movie
is it horrible that I both love and hate this movie (and book)? Because I do.

purple pianos

butterfly wings

through the looking glass
I always loved that book. Because reading is like entering another world.

this dress!
It looks like a Mad Hatter wedding dress or something. Like Mrs. Mad Hatter would wear it! Mrs. Johnny Depp Mad Hatter, not the Disney Mad Hatter... Just sayin' ;)

gardens
I want this garden!!

fun hair
I wish I had enough guts to do this to my hair!

This was so much fun!!

So blah

I was going to do an awesome post today. I was going to take pictures of my day, I was going to be productive, I was going to show you some of my pinterest pictures... I had so much to do. Blog design, sew, clean... Yeah none of that happened. Because...
I
got
a
stomach
bug.
And now its not fun. All I've had that I've kept down since yesterday afternoon has been tea, chicken broth and crackers. I'm dying to eat fries or garlic sticks or a roast beef sandwich. But even when I just eat chicken broth my stomach churns, so oh well.
I hate being sick...

Beautiful People!

So I decided to link up with Georgianna Penn @ Before My Penn Has Gleaned and do Beautiful People. Apparently it's the one year anniversary of the "blog thing" called Beautiful People! How exciting is that for them?!

Anyway... Now onto the "rules"!
Part 1: Instead of one character, choose two that are somehow tied together in a relationship. It doesn't matter what kind. They can be siblings, sweethearts, enemies, friends. Just two people who know each other. A relationship that you, as the author, would like to discover more about.
Answer the first 10 questions as you normally would, but do it for both characters. This is where that optional part comes in, if you're not interested, feel free to use these questions as you would for just one character.
Also, if the question isn't suited for the world your character lives in, answer it as if they lived in a world that it would, or feel free to change the question to fit the situation
Part 2: Here are 5 more questions. These ones are focused more on that relationship we mentioned above. The goal is to become more familiar with the way your two characters relate with one another. Think about your answers, don't be afraid to give us detail.

First I'm going to introduce my characters!

Most of you have already met Echo Abbiss from the "character interview" I did here. I'll go over a bit more now.

Echo Abbiss - a newer character and I reverted to my old bad habits. Her name was originally Cassia, but Echo sounded more mysterious and Cassia sounded bubbly. Hint: Echo is supposed to be mysterious :) She is an Elf in a "magical" fantasy world (still un-named - hey Amber, maybe I'll get you to help me come up with a name for it!). She was raised in an all elfen (elven?), all girls school where she was trained to be a peace ambassador to Lords and Ladies. She has hair so black it looks blue, porcelain skin and deep blue eyes.

I imagine her sorta like this:
or this:
Of course neither of those are quite right. I couldn't find a perfect one. Oh well...

The other character you haven't met yet. He is Lord Terrence Vane. He employed Echo to help him make peace with a neighboring Lord. Young, but very decisive. He is hated by his enemies and loved by his friends. I couldn't find a picture that I thought was even close - this was the best I could come up with:

He isnt right and I have no idea who this guy is, but oh well.

Ok, now that you now the characters a little, I'll answer the questions:

1. Do they believe in anything that most people think is impossible? He believes in total peace. She doesn't really believe in anything impossible.

2. Are they strong, or the "damsel/knight in distress" sort? Both are very strong. He is a Lord and she is fully trained in combat.

3. Do they have a special place? (e.g. a corner in his/her bedroom, under a tree...) Not really. When Echo was at the "Home" (the school) she liked the garden.

4. What occupation do they have, or plan on having? He is a Lord, if that counts. Echo is an Ambassador.

5. Describe their current place of residence. In the story they are both currently living in a castle. A small castle though, near the mountains in the North.

6. Explain their last crisis. How had they changed when they came out of it? Neither have been really in a crisis yet. Unless you count them going into a supposedly haunted garden maze. But it wasn't that big of a deal exactly.

7. If they could drive any kind of car they wanted, what would it be? Car? Um... I'll change that. Echo would love to have a midnight black stallion. Lord Vane has a pinto.

8. How do they deal with change? Lord Vane deals with it in stride, as a good Lord does. Echo handles it like a pro. She was trained to, afterall.

9. If they had to amputate one body part, which one would they choose? They would both probably pick their arm.

10. What would their favorite be at the local coffee shop? Echo would like a Chai Tea Latte, Lord Vane would take black coffee.

Part two:
1. How did they meet? They met when she came to his castle, Starmont, to help him settle the dispute between him and his neighbor.

2. How do these two deal with conflict? Conflict between the two of them? They haven't ever argued. Conflict from without? Lord Vane tries to settle it, but he isn't very harsh, especially with his family. She deals with it logically, all emotion removed. Except when she is dealing with Lander, he rubs her the wrong way.

3. Do they have a special song, phrase, item, or place? Together? No. Seperate? Not yet anyway.

4. What kind of things do they like to do together? Settle disputes.

5. Describe their relationship as a whole in 3 words, or less. Boss and employee.

And thats it :) Hope y'all enjoyed that!

Is that called re-tag?

We got retagged (is that a word?). We tagged our lovely friend Hannah @ Write Inside and she tagged us again :) And I am very happy to answer her questions. Somehow it's really fun when you actually know the person who tagged you... Well sorta know. I haven't actually met Hannah, but she is my friend all the same :)Ok so here we go again!
The Rules:
1) Post these rules.
2) Post 11 random things about yourself
3) Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post
4) Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer
5) Go to their blog and tell them they've been tagged
6) No cop-outs in the tagging section like, "If you are reading this" or "if you follow me". You have to legitimately tag people!

The eleven things:
1. I am trying not to get a weid tan. I don't wanna look odd in my wedding dress with freaky tan lines :)
2. I love Just Dance 3, especially the "Pump It" dance!
3. I love the Beautiful Creatures Series. I'm on Beautiful Chaos now. I'm also excited about the movie coming out... I'm not excited about the cast though. Ethan is so wrong...
4. I'm getting braces.
5. I like gardening.
6. I'm super excited about reading Pandamonium... I've been dying for it to come out!
7. I love the Civil Wars music.
8. Books - enough said.
9. I'm running out of random things...
10. I love gummy bears, particularly red gummy bears.
11. I adore letters :)

Now to answer Hannah's questions:
1) Who is your favorite author?
I don't have a favorite, although I like Tamera Alexander alot. Ialso like Garth Nix and Susanne Collins :)

2) If you could have only one piece of furniture in your bedroom, what would you pick?
A bookcase! But it's gotta be a huge bookcase.

3) If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I love living here in North Carolina. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I'd love to visit other places though :)
4) If you could go on any missions trip, where would you go and what would you do? (After you answer this question, go do it.)
Um, I'd go to the Philippines. I know a family there that makes food for the children and feeds them and then teaches them about God. Their daughter and I hit it off when we met and the family is so sweet. I also like that they are helping their community so much :)

5) Starbucks or your local coffee shop?
I used to say the local coffee shop. Where we used to live there was this cute little coffee shop called West Espresso (west because it was near a school that started with West). They were the absolute best. But sadly we not only don't live near there anymore, but it also closed. We don't have any local coffee shops around here, so Starbucks. Not that there is a Starbucks close either...
6) Hiking in the wilderness or jumping out of a plane?
Hiking! I'm scared of falling - litterally. Plus hiking sounds like great fun. I wouldn't mind river rafting either, although maybe I should learn to swim first...
7) Mars or Jupiter (why?)?
Mars! When I was little I had to do a paper on a planet and I picked Mars. I loved it so much that I decided that I wanted to be the first woman on Mars. Haha - I was a dreamer...
8) Favorite kind of chocolate?
Milk, although white is a super close second!
9) Math or Science?
Science as long as it isn't biology. I'm horribly bad at biology.
10) Best place in the world to eat dinner?
Home, Applebees or Boston Market. Boston Market has the very very best macaroni and cheese ever!
11) NIV or King James? Why?
King James - I think it sounds prettier then NIV. Also I hate looking up stuff in NIV and finding that my favorite verses are either completely changed or aren't there. I hate change lol. Although I do like New King James and ESV.

Now my 11 questions:
1) What is your favorite tv show?
2) If you could instantly know any language, what would it be?
3) Who was the best Disney Prince and Princess (doesn't have to be a matched pair like Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder, you can mix and match)?
4) Flats or boots?
5) Favorite animal?
6) What color is your hair?
7) If you could volunteer anywhere, where would it be?
8) Have you ever wished on a shooting star?
9) Favorite band?
10) One impossible thing you wish you could do?
11) What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

And since I've already done this once - I'm breaking the rules - I tag who ever lol

We were tagged

And I am just now getting around to it :) Sorry about that! The lovely Lauren at Bits and Pieces tagged us!

The Rules:
1) Post these rules.
2) Post 11 random things about yourself
3) Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post
4) Create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer
5) Go to their blog and tell them they've been tagged

Now for random facts about me!
1. I hate daylight savings time. Its cruel to change the hours on someone - just LEAVE IT BE!
2. I love the Drawsomething app... Just so much fun - if anyone has the drawsomething, let me know what your username is! I love that game.
3. I wanted to be a dancer while I was growing up - I just love the gracefulness of it all.
via pinterest
4. I love the book Ella Enchanted. It's my go to book. If I'm mad, I just go upstairs and read it and I feel instantly better. My copy is so worn - I love that :)
5. I have a major pet peeve with people thinking they are photographers simply because they own a DSLR. I'm sorry, a big fancy camera does not make you a photographer. You can have a DSLR and be learning about being a photographer (me), but I'm sorry quit trying so hard to sound important with your nice camera. If your only ever going to use the auto settings then get a durn point and shoot and quit wasting all that money. Either really learn or admit you aren't a photographer!
(no offense to anyone, I'm not referring to any bloggers, I'm referring to a relative who is seriously annoying  me with this topic. I really wish this relative would just stop).
6. I love Scooby Doo fruit snacks :) they are simply the best!
7. I adored the show Kim Possible when I was younger. I was obsessed! I had to watch every show and every movie. Boy, was I bummed when it went off air **sob**
via pinterest
8. I can't stand bad endings or slow middles in books, just can't.
9. I correct gammer and point out flaws in book **ehem** irises and crepe myrtles do not bloom at the same time, I don't care how lovely the weather has been.
10. Sleeping Beauty is my favorite disney princess ever, although Rapunzel is now a close second, or wait, maybe I just like Ryder :)
11. I always wanted Jo in Little Women to marry Laurie. Not Professor Bhaer. And no, thats not just because Christian Bale plays him... I really really wanted them to get together!
via pinterest

Lauren's 11 questions for us:
1. If you could spend one day with anyone in the world, dead or alive, who would you spend it with?
Fred Astaire!! I'd have him teach me to dance :)

2. What is your current favorite song?
Dance Me to the End of Love by The Civil Wars or Stronger by Kelly Clarkson

3. What's your favorite summer activity, big or small?
Reading while being warmed by the sun - that or mowing :)

4. Let's say you get a cat. A really cute, really fluffy, really adorable cat. What do you name it?
Picky Picky, like Ramona's cat in Ramona and Beezus

5. If you could own one exotic animal, with the guarantee that it wouldn't eat you, or trample you, or some other tragic thing...what would it be?
Does a Meerkat count? They are too cute!
via pinterest
6. Who is the scariest movie villain?
That rat from Lady and the Tramp. And I am completely serious, thank you very much!

7. Did you like Aurora's dress more when it was pink, or when it was blue?
Pink Pink Pink - when I was little Mom and Daddy took me to the Disney store and I saw this Penny bank that was Aurora and they had it in both her pink dress and her blue and I wanted the pink one so bad. So I told Mom I wanted the pink one for my birthday - I got it too. I wonder what happened to that?

8. Who inspires you most, whether they be famous or non-famous?
I'm not easily inspired, but perhaps it's Alex and Brett Harris...
9. Would you rather sit down with a good book, or sit down all comfy cozy with the laptop and read blogs, pin stuff, Facebook creep, etc...?
Book - although I do both. Books are much better, except the book I'm reading right now. It is so slow.

10. Absolute favorite Disney character? (See, everything comes back to Disney with me ;))
Aurora - I have a little pewter charm for a necklace that is her. I'll have to take a picture of it one day. The skirt twirls!

11. What is one of your favorite quotes?
"Do you think I am an automaton? — a machine without feelings? and can bear to have my morsel of bread snatched from my lips, and my drop of living water dashed from my cup? Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong! — I have as much soul as you — and full as much heart! And if God had gifted me with some beauty and much wealth, I should have made it as hard for you to leave me, as it is now for me to leave you. I am not talking to you now through the medium of custom, conventionalities, nor even of mortal flesh: it is my spirit that addresses your spirit; just as if both had passed through the grave, and we stood at God's feet, equal — as we are!" — Charlotte Brontë (Jane Eyre)

or

via pinterest
I know - awwwwwwwwwwwwww :)

4. Favorite hero of all time?
5. Do you wear glasses, contacts or is your eye sight pretty good?
6. Are you artistic? If so, how?
7. Everyone either has a word or a saying that is always coming out of their mouth, what's yours?

Just a note

Just incase anyone is wondering, I do not know if I support Invisible Children or not, I don't know much about them, I don't know how they spend their money or what their political veiws are... I just know Kony should be stopped. So just so y'all know, I am only supporting stopping this man!

PLEASE READ!

Jessica at Diary of a Beautiful Soul posted about a man named Joseph Kony who is a horrible war criminal and is building his own army. How is he building his own army you ask? By kidnapping small children and raising them up. Forcing them to kill and the young girls to be sex slaves. He has been doing this for 26 years and has abducted 30,000 children and displaced 2.1 million. His "group" started in Northern Uganda (no longer operating there) but is now in South Sudan, Democratic Republic of  Congo and Central African Republic. Invisible Children has been working for 9 years to end Africa’s longest-running armed conflict. U.S. military advisers are currently deployed in Central Africa on a “time-limited” mission to stop Kony and disarm the LRA. If Kony isn’t captured this year, the window will be gone.

Please do anything you can to help. Blog about it, tweet about it, facebook (or whatever) about it. Create a pinboard at Pinterest to raise awareness. Send the video to people. Donate to the cause or buy some of their things. Please stop this guy!
