What I want do.

I wanna go to Australia!
It has been my dream for as long as I can remember.
It is the top on my list of places in the world I want to go to.
Ohhh give me a home,
Where the Kangaroo roam,
Where the Kangaroo and the Aussie's play
Where seldom is heard
not a discouraging word
and the sky is not cloudy all day!

I just saw a very beautiful sunset.

And I like to think that God made this one just for me! :)

Friday...

...has been long. Long. Long. And long.
Computers freezing causing it to take longer to do some of the work.
Did I mention that today was long?
But I am home now! Hallelujah!
Happy weekend,

Beguiled.

I just finished reading a book called "Beguiled" by Deeanne Gist and J. Mark Bertrand. AMAZING!
I highly recommend it. The story is so capturing. Suspense...romance...mystery.
I wish it didn't end! But it did and now I have to move onto a new book. :( - :) It's a bittersweet feeling. lol. Leaving behind such a good story and the characters... *sigh*
I will definitely read it again!

Here's the description to "Beguiled"

In the shadows of Charleston, someone is watching her
Rylee Monroe, a dogwalker in Charleston's wealthiest neighborhood, never feared the streets at night. But now a thief is terrorizing the area and worse, someone seems to be targeting her.
Reporter Logan Woods is covering the break-ins with the hope of publishing them as a true-crime book. The more he digs, the more he realizes this beguiling dogwalker seems to be at the center of everything.
As danger draws ever closer, Logan must choose: Chase the girl, the story, or plunge into the shadows after the villain who threatens everything?

The next book I am going to read is "Mornings Refrain" book 2 in the "Songs of Alaska" series by Tracie Peterson!

Quick note.

My phone that I fried isn't really fried. It works normally. In other words, the once messed up phone righted itself and now is named Lazarus.
The phone store people said I should keep the new phone (ehem...they just want to keep my money.)
If my old phone works fine and doesn't go out at all in the next two weeks then the new (ugly...-as in- I can't stand that phone) can go back to the money eaters.
Many people I know have dropped phones in water (my sister being one) and they have been fine. The phones not the people. Although the people were fine too.
Ya git it.
G'night,

I am now....

A Licensed driver! YAY!
I passed my test even with my nerves all over the place. WOOT WOOT!
Thanks Ri for your post! I love ya!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYS!!

Today is Lys' 18th birthday (ha, I'm younger than you!), and I felt like posting a bit about her.

Facts:

1. She is the bestest friend ever (y'all are just gonna have to trust me on this).

2. She is pretty much nice to anyone, even if you really tick her off (she'll only yell at you if you're actually related to her).

3. She is taller than me, but so is everyone.

4. She was smaller than me when we were babies, even though she was older.

5. She looked like the girl who played Matilda when she was little (just like her).

6. In the future, she will never talk about tying shoes while pregnant (inside joke).

7. She's tall AND skinny! How grossly unfair is that?

8. She loves dogs and horses and birds... wait I think the bird part depends on the day.

9. She ate sticker balls as a baby (but only once, or twice).

10.  Did I mention she's the bestest friend EVER?!

Happy Birthday Lys!

On my last night of being 17...

...I am going to read, do dishes, get ready for bed, watch TV shows...and then sleep! I still have work tomorrow, after all! Any ideas on what kind of birthday cake I should have? Or dinner? I need help deciding.
Wanna know a little fact about me?
Well even if you didn't I would tell you anyway. And I am going to tell you right now!
Ready? Here goes: I don't like being in the spot light at all! Don't ask me why 'cause I don't know!
Allrighty, have a great night!
Much love,

Cute story

My sister works with kids.
The other day she told me about something cute.
The police had come to do their normal "talk with the kids."
One little boy, only 5, asked the cop: "Why do you have a gun?"
Not wanting to scare the little boy by saying "it's for shooting people if need be" he said, "It's for shooting at targets."
The little boy said, "Do you shoot at Wal-marts too???"
Needless to say that that earned a few laughs afterward. :)
Gotta love little kids!

There once was a chicken...

Once upon a time, in a land not so far away...
...there was a chicken.
I named her Essie Spreckelmeyer.
The end.

(Read "Courting Trouble" and "Deep in the Heart of Trouble" by Deeanne Gist and you will understand why I chose that name. Maybe.)

Before and After Pictures!

Yesterday afternoon I picked up my camera and went in search of something great to capture. I came across these tiny butterflies. They were only about the size of a nickle. Cute!
I decided to play around with them on photo shop tonight. Here are the before and after shots:

I tell ya what! I am loving the warm weather, beautiful, budding trees and plants, and these cute creatures that show up.
It makes me happy.
Oh and thanks for bearing with us as my new blog manager, Riah, (I informed her the other day that since she was doing such a good job that I am going to keep her) learns new ways to customize different stuff. She's good at it.

Shhhhhhh

Ok, just so you know, this is not Lys. Ignore the part at the bottom that says this is Lys, 'cause it isn't. This is Riah, trying to steal Lys' idenity one step at a time. I'm starting by taking over her blog. ;) Don't mention this to Lys, k? It would be better for everyone (mostly me), if she didn't know. For her sake, please refrain from saying anything.

I'm actually trying to create a blog button. So bare with me y'all wonderful followers/readers.

The Cut Off.

I cut my hair.
Well... I had it cut by my mom who is a cosmetologist.
It was very hard for me to do since my hair was down to my waist. It was very long, very wavy and I really loved it.
But change is good. Especially since I have been growing it out for about four years!!!
So Saturday morning my hair went from being to my waist to being up to my shoulders! Yeah... Wow is right!
We are donating the 12 inches to Locks of Love. Bye bye my long, wavy hair and hello my short, cute hair!
I am still getting used to it. I like it a lot, although I do miss how long it used to be.
Goodnight!
